Of course every time it warms a bit, that means it will snow. We've already accumulated 24" at our place and much more in other places around the state.
All right.. I'll stop complaining now. It is beautiful. Christmas Day on the way to Heather's it looked like a Christmas card with all the fresh snow from that morning.
We had a wonderful Christmas with family. I cooked up a turkey that had been given to Jason and it was 26 pounds of yum. We had the Christmas story by Joanna and Doug and then opening presents which took a long time with all the Ooohs and Ahhhs. It's so good to have all the family together.
Not the best picture. I was trying to figure out why Mr. D was leaning over without turning away and yes, Brandon is taller than all of us now. This may be the last Christmas for Spot as the cancer is getting much worse.
You can actually see the growth on her belly. She's still active and on a special diet, but today I noticed she was having trouble walking. I think it is not good to let her suffer, but it's Mr. D's call as she is his dog in every way.
I'll download some summer pictures next time so you can see that it is not always cold here. It will warm me up too. I gotta go now.
Happy New Year 2018 to all of my bloggy friends.
I am with you! It's WAY too cold! Today is better, but of course now there is snow coming in, then it's back to the deep freeze from what I understand. Happy to see you posting. Nice pics of your Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYup, a little better today. I'm ready for spring. I'm even ready for mud season and that's sayin' a lot since I have a mud front yard.
DeleteHappy new year to you my friend! I understand how hard it must be with Spot - our little Muffin had cancer too but she got a good number of quality years first.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you. I hope you will be able to get settled into one house this year while it's still warm.
DeleteYes, our Spotty has had 11 good years. She's been a good dog and we will miss her as she's our rat hunter. Living on the farm means rodents and she does a good job of keeping them away. We're looking for another little Rat Terrier to take her place when she's gone.
